South Korean railroad workers say they will go on a 72-hour strike starting 9 a.m. Friday,... following the breakdown of last-minute wage negotiations with management.
Preparing for the first strike by the Korean Railway Workers' Union in three years,... the transport ministry says it has prepared emergency transportation backup plans.
It said substitute workers will operate the KTX high-speed trains and other railways around the capital during peak commuting hours.
It also added that buses will also be laid on for highly-crowded routes in order to minimize passengers' inconvenience.
