737 MAX to resume commercial service in January: Boeing
  • 4 years ago
Boeing says it expects its grounded 737 MAX airliners to return to commercial service in January.
Boeing's 737 MAX aircraft have been grounded in some forty countries since March this year,... following two deadly crashes that killed 346 people.
Boeing said on Monday it's working to get the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration's approval to get the plane back into service.
Boeing also added the final decision rests with the FAA, and listed five processes the 737 MAX must pass to ensure safety and resume commercial service.
It noted the first step, the simulator evaluation session, was completed last week, and said it's now working on the next step.
Boeing's share price rose five percent on the optimistic outlook.
