S. Korea reaffirms its position to terminate GSOMIA

South Korea reaffirmed its position to end GSOMIA.
A high level official at the nation's top office told reporters that the decision to terminate the intel-sharing pact was inevitable,... as Japan cited national security as the reason to impose exports curbs.
The official also added that Seoul does not believe scrapping the agreement would affect ties with the U.S.,... dismissing concerns about the possible damage GSOMIA termination could bring to the alliance.
Foreign Minister Kang kyung-wha also reiterated the nation's stance, pointing out that unless Tokyo withdraws its trade restrictions, Seoul will maintain its position to let the GSOMIA expire later this month.
