U.S. President Donald Trump says he will not be sitting down with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani during next week's UN General Assembly in New York.
According to Reuters,... Trump told reporters on Tuesday that he believes Iran is not yet ready for talks with the U.S.... but will be.
The U.S. leader added that,... while he never rules anything out,... he prefers not to meet Rouhani at this time.
Trump's remarks come amid heightened tensions between the two countries over Washington's accusation that Tehran was behind the drone attacks on Saudi Arabian oil facilities.
