A senior South Korean lawmaker has returned home after visiting Japan to meet with a ranking member of the country's ruling Party.
Park Jie-won... was there as a special envoy of the National Assembly Speaker.
He told reporters that candid talks were held with Toshihiro Nikai, secretary general of the Liberal Democratic Party,... well over five hours.
Without revealing details of the discussions,... Park expressed belief that Japan shares the idea the two sides should pursue future-oriented ties.
