S. Korea's rival parties aiming to vote on extra budget bill Friday morning

South Korea's rival parties will hold a plenary session in the coming hours to vote on a multi-billion extra budget bill... as well as a resolution urging Japan to lift its export curbs.
They're aiming at start the session before Tokyo's expected decision to remove Seoul from its trade whitelist during a Cabinet meeting on Friday.
The vote was initially scheduled for Thursday,... but didn't happen as rival parties were unable to reach a compromise over cuts to the extra budget proposal.
After marathon talks that went through the night,... they tentatively agreed to cut the overall extra budget from the originally-proposed 5-point-7 billion dollars to 4-point-9 billion.
The cuts will mainly come from the budget set aside to tackle downside risks,... as rival lawmakers agreed to increase the funds that will be used to support recovery efforts following a string of natural disasters.
They've also newly set aside about 230 million dollars to help the government deal with Japan's trade curbs.
