Powerful earthquake hits Southern California for second time in two days

Elsewhere, a powerful, 7.1 magnitude earthquake rattled Southern California on Friday night,... the second tremor to strike the region in the last two days.
The U.S. Geological Survey says... the quake occurred at around 8:20 p.m. local time,... some 18 kilometers away from Ridgecrest California,... which was hit the previous day by a 6.4 magnitude quake.
It was reportedly felt... by those living as far away as Las Vegas and Mexico.
The Friday night tremor is the biggest to hit Southern California in over 20 years.
Hundreds of aftershocks have also been recorded since Thursday,... and experts warn that the quake will likely be followed by more seismic activity in the coming days.
