South Korea's drug safety ministry is revoking the license of gene therapy drug Invossa, for mislabeling active ingredient.
Kolon Life Science claimed the treatment for knee arthritis is made from cartilage cells,... but it's been found that the cells were derived from kidneys,... and could develop into cancer.
The drug firm failed to explain why the ingredient is different from what's on the label... at a hearing in mid-June.
The company vowed to file a complaint to protest the ministry's decision.
