Thai cave boys mark one year rescue anniversary with marathon
  • 5 years ago
A year has passed since the miraculous rescue of 12 young Thai football players and their coach after they were trapped in a flooded cave for 18 days.
Some of the boys and their coach got together on Sunday to mark the anniversary of their ordeal with a commemorative marathon in northern Thailand.
Around 4-thousand people took park in the event aimed at raising funds to improve conditions at the Tham Luang cave complex, where the boys were rescued from.
Nine of the boys, who look much taller and older now, ran the marathon along with their coach.
