Officials likely to have discussed swine fever outbreak, plans to give food aid to N. Korea

This morning, working-level officials from Seoul and Washington convened again to continue their discussion from the day before.
The foreign ministry did not elaborate on the agenda, but the two sides are thought to have discussed South Korea's plans to provide food aid to the North, worth some 8 million U.S. dollars.
They are also likely to have talked about measures to prevent the spread of swine fever, which was recently confirmed in the regime.
In order to prevent the fever from spreading to the South, Seoul had asked Pyeongyang to cooperate on fighting the outbreak, but the North has not responded yet.
The Agriculture Ministry has prepared diagnostic equipment and disinfectant in case the the regime asks for help.
