Seoul City to erect 400 tree shade canopies by 2022

The Seoul Metropolitan Government will erect four-hundred tree shade canopies near crosswalks and on traffic islands by 2022 to protect people against the scorching summer sun.
It says,... it will plant over six-hundred trees and install benches,... investing 3-hundred-35-thousand U.S. dollars annually for the next three years.
By the end of this year,... the city government plans to finish 1-hundred-13 tree shade canopies.
As well as providing pedestrians with some relief from the summer heat,... the move is also expected to improve air quality in the capital.
