S. Korea's consumer sentiment index falls 3.7 points to 97.9 in May: BOK

South Korea's consumer sentiment fell in May for the first time in about half-a-year.
The Bank of Korea said Tuesday that the composite consumer sentiment index was at 97-point-nine,... down 3-point-seven points from the previous month.
The central bank attributed the fall to an increase in people's negative responses due to the escalating U.S.-China trade dispute, sluggish domestic economic growth and falling stock prices.
After rebounding above 100 in April...the index fell below the one-hundred-mark again, indicating there are more pessimists than optimists about the economy.
