S. Korea's consumer sentiment index hit record low since April 2017

Another depressing figure,.... South Korea's consumer sentiment is at its lowest point in 14-months,... over slowing job data and the tense U.S.-China trade spat.
The Bank of Korea says the composite consumer sentiment index dropped two-point-four points from the previous month to 105-point-five,... as low as the time when the country saw former President Park Geun-hye fall from power last year.
A reading above 100 means there are more optimists than pessimists about the economy.
Earlier this month, Statistics Korea announced that the jobless rate for Koreans between 15-to-29 years old was ten-point-five percent... the highest on record since related figures were first compiled in 1999.
