Korean Air is raising domestic air fares due to what it calls worsening business conditions.
The nation's largest carrier plans to charge more, by an average of seven percent starting in June.
The firm emphasised the price hike will not apply to international routes, which would need the government's approval.
The decision comes amid growing competition from low-cost airliners and the development of local high-speed rail system.
