S. Korean air carriers permitted to add more routes to China

South Korea and China have agreed to add new air routes between them, bringing the total number of routes up from 57 to 66.
That'll mean up to 588 flights between them every week.
Seoul's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said Thursday that the two countries reached that agreement in talks that began in March.
The two flag carriers Korean Air and Asiana Airlines will be allowed to operate an additional four and three weekly flights, respectively, between Incheon and Beijing.
The additional flights are expected to help meet ever-growing demand for travel between the two countries.
