Seeking words of wisdom at a difficult time for the country.
President Moon Jae-in will hold a working lunch on Thursday with a dozen past government officials and veterans of South Korea's legal and academic circles to seek their advice on state affairs.
Attendees include a former prime minister during the past Kim Young-sam administration, ex-ministers as well as lawyers and professors..
They're expected to discuss issues including the administration's reform drive, the jobless crisis and the creation of a social safety net.
Officials at the top office expect the talks to be held in a casual, but frank manner.
The president held a similar meeting last month with members from South Korea's business world.
