Seoul's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said on Friday,... that the WTO's appeals body for dispute settlements has finalized the ruling,... saying that the restrictions do not violate the organization's rules on food safety.
The government says it will maintain its current import regulations.
The decision brings an end to the four-year trade dispute,... that began when Japan brought the case to the WTO in 2015 -- two years after South Korea stopped importing seafood from eight Japanese prefectures due to safety concerns.
