A task force launched in late May to boost cultural and public exchanges between South Korea and Japan submitted its final proposal on Thursday.
Seoul's top diplomat Kang Kyung-wha reportedly received the proposal which suggests 10 policies and 25 specific projects, including the designation of 2019-2020 as the years of South Korea-Japan exchange, and having some 10-thousand teenagers from both sides interact every year.

The foreign ministry said it will discuss with Japan on what projects to actually carry out.
Minister Kang thanked the members of the TF for their efforts in seeking original and future oriented ways to celebrate the 20th anniversary of a deal signed by the late South Korean President Kim Dae-jung and then Japanese Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi, which was to boost and improve Seoul-Tokyo ties.
