S. Korean court finds BMW, Mercedes-Benz guilty of fabricating emission tests

The Seoul Central District Court has upheld its ruling against BMW Korea for fabricating emission tests.
It confirmed a fine of about twelve-and-a-half million U.S. dollars, while upholding ten-month prison sentences for six employees.
Also in today's ruling, the court decided to slightly reduce a fine against Mercedes-Benz Korea, which was found guilty of violating emissions-related certification procedures.
The court cut the fine by roughly 85-thousand dollars... to 2-point-3 million.
