South Korea's presidential office has named deputy spokesperson Ko Min-jung as its new spokesperson,... filling a post that has been vacant for weeks.
The 40-year-old has worked as the top office's deputy spokesperson since the start of the administration,... after joining Moon's presidential election campaign.
She succeeds Kim Eui-kyeom who left the post in late March due to controversy over real estate speculation.
Ko worked as an anchorwoman at South Korea's public broadcaster KBS before joining the campaign.
She becomes the third spokesperson for the Moon administration-- and the first woman to fill the role.
