S. Korea, Phillipines agree to pursue bilateral FTA negotiations

In light of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between South Korea and the Philippines,.... the two sides have decided to pursue a bilateral free trade agreement.
South Korea's trade minister Yoo Myung-hee visiting Manila on Wednesday... and said,.... she agreed with her Philippines counterpart to strengthen their ties in economy and trade.
They decided to finalize their talks in time for November... when the ASEAN-Korea Commemorative Summit will take place in Busan.
Bilateral trade between Seoul and Manila reached 15-point-6 billion U.S. dollars last year,... making the Philippines the fifth largest trading partner for South Korea among ASEAN member nations.
The South Korean government said,.... a bilateral FTA would help to expand Korea's trade and investment.
