Korea's agriculture industry continues to struggle, with most local farmers recording average sales of less than 9,000 U.S. dollars last year.
According to Statistics Korea, the NUMBER of farmers also fell in 2018, dropping two percent on-year to just over a million, with their average age increasing.
The decline mostly attributed to Korea's rapid aging and urbanization.
