North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited an air force unit and reviewed a flight exercise on Tuesday.
Kim said,.... he made a surprise visit to the unit because real battles happen without prior notice... and he ordered the pilots to perform some complicated combat actions.
This was his first military-related visit in five months.
In November last year,... he guided the testing of what Pyeongyang said was a "new, high-end tactical weaponry."
Observers say... Kim's visit to the air force unit is to show North Korean citizens that he still cares about security.... while focusing on the economy, in the wake of the breakdown of the summit with the U.S. in Hanoi.
