It has emerged that the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps held a joint drill in Japan last month,... in an exercise designed to increase battle readiness in the Indo-Pacific region.
According to the U.S. 7th Fleet Command website on Wednesday,... the joint drill of the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group and the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group was held on September 23rd.
It included maritime strike operations, search and rescue operations, and fast attack craft defense, among others.
Watchers say the drill could be a show of strength to China amid the ongoing trade spat between the two countries.
