Starting April, every child under 6 years old can get government child allowance

Starting this month... all households, regardless of income,... will get a monthly allowance for each of their children six or younger.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced today that with the new law in effect, that'll be about 88 U.S. dollars a month for each child.
Before, that subsidy was not available to households in the top 10 percent income bracket.
Those who applied last year but did not qualify will get it automatically, but those who've never applied will have to submit an application.
From September, the age cut-off will be raised to 7 years old... at which point it'll benefit the parents of around 2-point-7 million children.
