Convenience stores to start transferring change directly to consumers' bank accounts starting next year

Supermarkets and convenience stories will be able to transfer change directly to consumers' bank accounts starting early next year.
The Bank of Korea says it is recruiting businesses to launch the service.
The service will enable consumers to pay with cash or gift cards and get change sent through an app to their mobile cash cards or bank accounts linked to their cash cards rather than receiving their change in coins and small notes.
