S. Korean gov't officials reported to own average fortune of US$1.06 mil.

The average fortune of some 18-hundred senior government officials in South Korea is one-point-zero-six million U.S. dollars as of the end of last year.
This,... according to an annual report by the government gazette released today that records the officials' and their families' wealth.
Of those who disclosed their assets,... some 72 percent saw an increase in their overall fortune compared to the year before.
President Moon saw his personal wealth grow 7-point-2 percent last year to one-point-seven million dollars,... over an increase in his savings and from a cut in his personal spending.
Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon also reported a similar increase,... 246-thousand dollars more than last year.
Under the country's anti-corruption law, senior government officials must report their status of assets to the government ethics committee.
