British PM May says there's still not sufficient support in parliament for third Brexit vote
  • 5 years ago
British Prime Minister Theresa May still hopes to change lawmakers' minds and get the agreement to her twice-rejected Brexit divorce deal if she puts it to a new vote.
She acknowledged she might lose control of the Brexit process to lawmakers who want to force her government to change direction as the U.K's departure from the EU was delayed and the new date is up in the air.
May told lawmakers in the House of Commons that it's with great regret that she had to conclude there's still not sufficient support in the House to bring back the deal for a third meaningful vote.
