S. Korea bans flight of B737 MAX jets for three months
  • 5 years ago
Following other countries' suit, South Korea has decided to ban Boeing 737 Max aircraft from landing and taking off at local airports, and from passing through the country's airspace.
This decision comes after there were two crashes involving the 737 Max model in a five-month period.
On Thursday, the Transport Ministry notified airlines worldwide of the decision, and said the measure will last 3 months.
The government also plans to ban any additional acquisitions of the model until it is shown to be safe.
