Efforts to advance inter-Korean relations aimed at N. Korea's denuclearization: National Assembly Speaker

South Korea's National Assembly Speaker says... efforts to build relations between the two Koreas are driven by the goal of denuclearization... and for the regime to improve its ties with the U.S.
Speaker Moon Hee-sang made the remarks during a speech at the Korea Society -- a non-profit organization dedicated to Seoul-Washington relations.
He said that... Seoul continues to emphasize... that without the North abandoning its nuclear weapons,... there will be limits on how much ties can be improved with the South.
If it does give up the weapons, he said, then Seoul is determined to give Pyeongyang support and work with it.
There have been concerns that ties between the two Koreas are moving ahead faster than those between the North and the U.S.
Speaker Moon stressed that the peace process on the Korean Peninsula is a global peace process,... and that it's a goal South Korea, the U.S., and the international community should be striving towards.
