During a week-long stay on the Korean Peninsula, Biegun went to the North for three days of discussions about the upcoming Pyeongyang-Washington summit, including North Korea's denuclearization and the corresponding rewards.
He also met with various South Korean officials before and after those negotiations, including National Security Advisor Chung Eui-yong .
On Saturday afternoon, Biegun also met with his South Korean and Japanese counterparts, Lee Do-hoon and Kenji Kanasugi, to discuss the results of the talks in Pyeongyang.
