Good morning, the rain and snow that started in northern parts of Gangwon-do Province has spread to the capital area with a mix of rain and sleet this morning while parts of Gangwon-do Province could see up to 10 centimeters of heavy snowfall before noon.

This round of wet conditions will bring freezing temperatures to the country. We'll start to notice bone chilling temperatures along with biting winds starting this afternoon then readings will drop even further tomorrow morning, the capital will have lows nearing minus 10 degrees Celsius, last time we had these piercing cold temperatures was in mid-January.

Taking a closer look at today's temperatures, morning lows in most areas are kicking off on a milder note, but beware of wet roads and drive with care and dress extra warm for your evening commute. Right now could be the warmest time of the day.

Daily highs won't rise much, a couple notches higher than the lows, southern areas will also notice a big drop compared to yesterday.
