Naimisaranyam is a one of the Hindu Divya Desams located in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and also credited as his 108th abode on earth. In this video, we have described the greatness of this temple along with all the rare facts related to it.

1 Naimisaranya (Tiru-naimisaranyam) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.
2 The temple is one of the eight temples classified as Swayamvyaktha Kshetra, that are Lord Vishnu self-manifested shrines.
3 It is also one of the celestial abodes of Lord Vishnu, which were revered in Tamil hymns called Nalayira Divya Prabandham by Alwars.
4 The temple has a great significance in the Hindu mythology and is considered as a Divya Kshetram. The entire Naimisha Forest was home to more than 60000 sages.
5 Various tales associated this temple is mentioned in many scriptures including, the Sthala Purana.
6 It is stated in the Varaha Purana that Lord Vishnu through his Chakra had destroyed the army of demon Danavas at this place in just one blink (naimisa), hence the name Naimisaranya.
7 Chakra Kunda of this temple came into existence when the chakra landed on here.
8 It is considered as a sacred Tirtha where people take a holy dip during festive seasons.
9 It also said that Lord Rama had taken a bath in the Hatyaharaana Theertham here, to purify himself of the sin of having killed Ravana.
