Pope Francis, on a historic visit to the United Arab Emirates, has urged religious leaders to work together to reject war,... denouncing violence committed in the name of God.
The Pope was speaking Monday at an inter-faith meeting in Abu Dhabi... that included Muslim, Christian and Jewish leaders.
It's a sensitive time for the UAE, which is involved in the war in Yemen.
Pope Francis is the first sitting leader of the Catholic Church to visit the Arabian Peninsula, the birthplace of Islam.
In another first for the region, he's due to celebrate a mass on Tuesday that's expected to draw some 135-thousand people,... a public expression of Christian faith on a scale never seen before in the UAE.
