French President Emmanuel Macron has taken aim at several of President Donald Trump's policies in a hard-hitting speech to both houses of the U.S. Congress.
During Wednesday's speech, Macron denounced nationalism and isolationism and urged America to engage more in global affairs.

"We can build the 21st Century world order based on a new breed of multilateralism... This requires, more than ever, the United States involvement as your role was decisive for creating and safe guarding today's free world. The United States is the one that invented this multilateralism. You are the one now Who has to help, preserve and re-invent it. "

Macron also raised issues with Trump's policies on global trade, Iran and global warming.
He urged the U.S. to rejoin the Paris climate accord, not to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal and embrace free trade.
