Good morning, it feels so much better to be back in the weather center. It was unbelievably cold yesterday... but be prepared.. it's even colder this morning. The piercing cold will remain throughout the weekend and we'll have to wait until next Monday to see temperatures ease a touch.

Cold wave alerts have been expanded to more areas, upper regions are waking up to lows close to minus 20 degrees Celsius, while a heavy snow advisory is in place for the Jeollado Provinces and Jeju Island with 1 to 7 centimeters of snow expected until this afternoon. Korea's easternmost Islands of Dokdo and Ullengdo could see up to 20 centimeters of snowfall.

The rest of country will be under clear blue skies, morning lows in most parts are sub freezing, except Jeju Island. Do bundle up tight on your way out.

Daily highs will be similar to a tad higher than yesterday, getting up to minus 4 degrees in Seoul, minus 1 degree in Daegu and Gyeongju.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
