Good morning, we can expect temperatures to ease up in the afternoon with highs around the seasonal averages... but lows are still kicking off very cold -- below minus 5 degrees Celsius in Seoul -- so dress accordingly.

Taking a closer look at today's readings, Seoul and Daejeon are waking up to a low of minus 7 degrees Celsius which is a couple notches higher than yesterday,... while Daegu and Gwangju will see light snow easing up and lows of minus 4 degrees.

Most parts can expect mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. The high in Seoul will get up to 5 degrees Celsius,... while Daejeon and Daegu will see 6 degrees Celsius. Expect to see more sunshine in the afternoon as well.

Daily highs in Seoul will climb much higher on Wednesday, but readings will snap back to below seasonal averages for the start of the Seollal or Lunar New Year holiday.

The deep freeze in PyeongChang will rise a bit in the afternoon,... while a mix of snow and rain is in the forecast on Wednesday morning along with much bearable temperatures.
