Cyber Monday sales reach new record of $7.9 billion
  • 5 years ago
America's Cyber Monday sales figure has surged to a new record high of just under 8 billion dollars.
According to data from Adobe Analytics, that's more than a 19 percent increase from last year.
The milestone came just after a record six-point-two billion dollars were spent in online sales on Black Friday.
Amazon apparently did especially well on Cyber Monday.
The online retail giant said it was the biggest shopping day ever in terms of items sold - although it did not say how many or how much revenue it made.
As usual, tech products, such as smartphones, were among the top-selling items.
