President Moon National Assembly speech

Hello, and thanks for being with us, I'm Mark Broome.
We are starting our mid-morning news bulletin a touch early today as we are due to hear President Moon Jae-in give a budget speech to the National Assembly.
He's due to call for lawmakers' cooperation in passing an expansionary government budget for next year,... designed to help tide the nation over its deepening economic difficulties.
On Wednesday,... an official at Cheong Wa Dae said the president is expected to explain to the National Assembly on the government's intentions regarding the expansionary budget within the broader framework of boosting the economy.
He'll also call for parliamentary cooperation in carrying out his "income-led growth" drive.
It remains to be seen whether President Moon will call for parliamentary ratification of the Panmunjeom Declaration during the speech.
Once the speech is over, we'll give you the rest of the day's news so we'll probably be with you for the next hour or so.
I'm joined in the studio by our National Assembly correspondent Kim Min-ji.
