Chinese President Xi Jinping has stressed efforts to strengthen training and war preparedness of his country's military.
His comments last came as he was inspecting the 79th Group Army of the People's Liberation Army in China's Liaoning Province.
During the visit, Xi got hands on with the equipment, boarding a Z-10 military helicopter that was developed and manufactured by China.
The inspection also came ahead of China's 69th National Day, which falls on Monday.
