U.S. stresses no compensation ahead of complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization of N. Korea

The United States has made it clear there's no "phased compensation" for negotiations with North Korea on denuclearization.
National Security Council staff at the White House say there will be no concessions to the North,... stressing that Washington should not repeat the mistakes of previous administrations.
Watchers say this can be interpreted as an reaffirmation to Washington's principle of no compensation before detailed measures are taken for a complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization.
President Trump has also made clear when meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron this week that the U.S. is seeking a complete denuclearization of the regime.
