President Moon Jae-in will meet this morning with the heads of 17 provincial and city governments to craft new job creation plans.
The top office says the local government heads will present the president with their employment stimulus plans and ideas on improving the economy.
The president will offer suggestions on how the government can support their plans.
The meeting is the first of its kind since the local government heads won their seats in the June local elections.
It comes amid calls for stronger job creation measures following the release of some grim employment data.
