President Moon, heads of 17 local governments discuss ways to pump out jobs, better economy

That's the meeting between President Moon Jae-in and more than a dozen heads of regional governments.
The president is still meeting with them as we speak to craft new job creation plans.
Let's connect to our correspondent at the Blue House, Shin Se-min, for the latest.
Semin, tell us more.
Right,… as you mentioned the meeting is still taking place at the main building of the presidential office.
It has brought President Moon and the heads of 17 provincial and city governments together to talk about ways to churn out more jobs and revitalize economy at the local level.
The topic was handpicked by the top office itself,… a response to the growing calls to reinvigorate the country's employment market that has taken a turn for the worse in recent months.
Let's take a look at what the president said at the beginning of the meeting.
"Now is the time to change the economic paradigm. Regional governments should devise and lead their respective jobs projects knowing they have support from the central government. We'll see creative projects spring up when regional governments foster and help them out financially."
And although the regions come to the table with different backgrounds and specs in terms of their regional characteristics,… they are all planning on pursuing the central government's economic plans,.. which fall under seven categories.
Those projects,… which will also be backed by the relevant ministries include,… inter-Korean business cooperation, improving the lives of the people through infrastructure closely linked to the society and supporting small and mid-sized businesses
Again,.. it's a clear indication President Moon is using all the means at his disposal to live up to his promise of being the country's jobs president.
And another thing,… we are hearing the president is planning to reshuffle his cabinet in the coming hours. What can you tell us?
Right. The word around here is that a cabinet shake-up could happen as early as this afternoon.
This morning,... the chief presidential secretary Yoon Young-chan sent out a text message to the press corps, saying the top office might go ahead with the announcement.
We also know the top office has carried out its background check of the picks for the potential ministers with the Prime Minister.
We don't know who is on the list or what ministries will be subject to the shake up yet, but there's talk five of six ministers will be swapped out.
They could include the ministers of defense, trade, labor and gender equality, plus maybe some more,... especially those linked to those carrying out economy polices.
