South Korea's primary labor force is enduring one of the worst unemployment crises in the country's history.
Citing data released by Statistics Korea earlier this month,.... Hyundai Research Institute said on Monday that..... the number of recruits in their forties dropped for the 31st consecutive month leading up to July... the longest decline since records were first compiled back in 1982.
For those in their thirties, as the number of jobs dropped for the eighth straight month,... it pointed to worsening job conditions in the construction and manufacturing sectors.
There was an increase in the number of people employed in their 50s and 60s,... which the institute attributed to a boost in the number of part-time rather than permanent positions.
