Watch | Fish swim at flooded Patna hospital
  • 6 years ago
Heavy showers in Patna have left Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH) waterlogged after rain water gushed into the ICU and general wards of the hospital. On Sunday, the ICU was in knee deep water with small fish and insects visible in the rain water. The nurses and para medical staff at the hospital had to wade through the water to attend to patients. The hospital authorities claimed they were helpless as waterlogging at the hospital was a perennial problem during the rains. The superintendent of NMCH maintained that the hospital was taking all efforts to pump out the water but the problem could persist for next few days.
