Heavy rains in Delhi lead to waterlogged roads and traffic jams

Heavy rain lashed parts of Delhi Saturday morning, leading to traffic jams across the city due to water logging on major roads.

The Delhi traffic police, on its twitter handle, posted a number of areas where water logging had been reported and a list of roads to be avoided.

Roads submerged following the rainfall included those in Geeta Colony, Vikas Marg, Inderprastha Marg near the Delhi Police headquarters, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, the Ring Road behind the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, near Ghazipur flyover on National Highway 24, Laxmi Nagar, Rajghat, Janpath, Rajendra Prasad Road, Minto Road, GT Karnal Road, Azadpur Mandi, Tughlakabad, under the Modi Mill Flyover, the Rao Tula Ram T-Point on the way to the Indira Gandhi International Airport,and others.
