Back here in Korea...
The two-day candidate registration period for the June 13th local elections concluded on Friday and the numbers are in.
The election watchdog says more than nine-thousand-three hundred people have registered... with nine in the running for Seoul mayor.
The average nationwide competition rate is two-point-three-two candidates per vacant spot.
Koreans will choose the mayors, governors, chiefs of local councils and education superintendents who will represent them for the next four years.
Candidates can officially start campaigning from May 31st... although limited campaign activity is allowed until then, such as sharing business cards, and putting up banners.
