National Assembly likely to hold plenary session Monday to vote on two pending bills

The National Assembly will likely convene a plenary session Monday to vote on the government's extra budget bill,... as well as a bill that calls for a special probe into an online opinion rigging scandal.
The session had been rescheduled twice before being called off... as rival parties were at odds over the specifics of the 3-point-6 billion U.S. dollar extra budget bill.
But they've managed to make some progress... after agreeing to slash the budget bill by 10 percent, or about 360 million dollars.
A subcommittee of the parliament's budget committee has been fine-tuning the details... and when procedures are complete.... the revised bill will be referred to the budget committee for approval.
Rival parties have also reached an agreement over the scope and duration of the special probe... after tense negotiations.
The parties had agreed to vote on both issues at the same time,... as part of a compromise to end the 42 days of inactivity at parliament.
Three opposition parties had agreed to convene a plenary session Monday morning,... to which the ruling party said would only be possible, if the screening of the budget is complete.
