The White House says North Korea has confirmed directly to the Trump administration that it's willing to negotiate its potential denuclearization with the United States.
Watchers say the confirmation offers Washington greater assurances that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is committed to holding a summit with President Trump by the end of May.
While a summit had been agreed upon during a trip to Washington last month by South Korean envoys,... skepticism has persisted as Pyongyang has been silent about the proposed summit ever since.
