The South Korean and Chinese delegates of the six-party talks met in Seoul on Thursday to discuss the latest developments surrounding the Peninsula.
South Korea's foreign ministry says Special representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, Lee Do-hoon told his Chinese counterpart Kong Xuanyou that Beijing's constructive role last year helped greatly in bringing the two Koreas to where they are today.
Lee expressed hope for continued close cooperation with China to denuclearize the Peninsula and establish peace in the region.
Kong agreed their close communication shows the trust the two countries have in each other and said China will continue working for peace.
